DevOps in iGaming

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years in DevOps/SRE roles, ideally in high-load, real-time industries (gaming, fintech, betting, streaming).

Cloud: Proven expertise with GCP (preferred), or similar multi-region cloud providers (AWS/Azure acceptable if strong IaC background).

IaC & Automation: Hands-on experience with Terraform (modules, workspaces, DR scenarios), GitLab CI/CD, Helm/Ansible.

Resilience & Performance: Track record of designing HA/DR architectures, tuning latency-sensitive systems, and running autoscaling strategies under peak load.

Security & Compliance: Strong knowledge of GDPR, data residency, and iGaming licensing requirements; experience with WAFs, DDoS/bot mitigation, secrets management, vulnerability scanning.

Observability: Expertise in metrics/logs/traces stack (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry) and incident management practices (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, on-call).

Networking: Solid understanding of VPC design, secure peering, Cloudflare edge services, and traffic routing in multi-jurisdiction setups.

Databases & Data: Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning, caching layers (Redis/Memcached), messaging/queuing systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ), and analytical pipelines (BigQuery or similar).

Collaboration: Strong communication skills for working with product, developers, and marketing on traffic planning and feature reliability.

Mindset: Problem-solving, proactive ownership, comfort with fast-moving environments and regulatory complexity.
