We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function across our company and its affiliates. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with legislation, and effective coordination of finance activities across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Accounting functions of the company and its affiliates;

  • Ensure the smooth running of the accounts and financial reporting function;

  • Ensure maintenance of proper books of accounts in accordance with the legislation;

  • Liaise with auditors and facilitate the audit for allocated companies in accordance with International and local Accounting Standards and Law;

  • Assist with the preparation of annual tax computation;

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of provisional tax declaration and other reports as per applicable regulations (statistics, Central bank of Cyprus, etc);

  • Assist with accounting, audit and tax issues in the UAE segment as may be required from time to time;

  • Oversee activities of accounting team in Cyprus (4 persons) and UAE (2 persons);

  • Prepare and maintain accounting policies and procedures;

  • Initiating and participating in the projects for finance process automation;

  • Other duties required by the position.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Chief Accountant or in a senior accounting role;

  • Strong knowledge of International and Local Accounting Standards;

  • Experience with Cyprus tax and reporting regulations;

  • Ability to lead and coordinate multi-location accounting teams;

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  •  

You will report directly to the CFO at Limassol headquarters.

The Company will pay you a net salary in the agreed amount per month, payable in accordance with the Company’s standard payroll schedule.

Employee benefits include coverage of medical insurance costs in the amount of Euro 800 per annum and free meals in the office.

The first three months of your appointment will constitute the probationary period during which your suitability for the position to which you have been appointed will be assessed. Within the duration of this probationary period the contract may be cancelled by either party with two weeks’ notice.

You will be eligible for 22 days of paid vacation leave per year.
