About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Symfony Backend Developer with a strong background in paymentgateway integrations. You will work closely with payment professionalsand collaborate with crossfunctional teams to contribute to the development and optimization of our payment infrastructure.Your expertise will directly support scaling CheckoutRails and delivering cutting edge payment solutionsfor our clients.

Role Overview

• Analyze, maintain, and improve CheckoutRails’ Symfony-based core product offering, a paymentaggregator with multiple third-party integrations for seamlesspaymentprocessing.

• Integrate other internal offerings and products, communicate with cross-functional teams toestablish API contracts and achieve business requirements.Read third-party vendor documentation, identify compatibility with the application, andpropose an implementation plan.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage to ensure application stability andreliability.

• Plan and execute migration of the system to newer versions ofSymfony while ensuringcompatibility with existing features and integrations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidancefor new integrations.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to optimize system performance.

• Document processes, technical specifications, and best practices.

• Mentor junior developers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

• Requirements

• Strong experience with Symfony and PHP 8+

• Proven track recordworking withpayment integrations (having standardized multipleintegrations is a plus)

• Deep understanding ofthe payment domain,adapter patterns,integration methodologies,payment methods andtransactiontypes.

• Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable payment solutions.

• Knowledge of modern workflows, CI/CD, and quality assurance practices.
