Senior Python Developer

Join us in building a large-scale fintech platform that’s currently in an active expansion phase thanks to a rapidly increasing number of users.
Our product is much more than a payment system — it’s a high-load solution with complex business logic, massive volumes of transactions, and rich data streams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable, high-performance backend services (FastAPI, async stack).

• Own architectural decisions (CQRS, outbox, observability, API versioning, security).

• Mentor and guide middle developers, perform code reviews, and promote best practices.

• Identify and resolve performance, implementation, and architectural issues.

• Collaborate with DevOps, frontend, backend, and product teams to deliver complete features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python (asyncio, typing, pydantic);

• Proven experience working with high-load systems;

• Strong knowledge of testing: unit, integration, domain rule tests, contract and load testing;

• Experience with CQRS, outbox pattern, building scalable and resilient applications;

• Knowledge of PBAC/ABAC/ReBAC, experience with OPA/OpenFGA, Keycloak;

• Experience integrating observability stack: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, Sentry;

• Solid experience with SQLAlchemy 2.0 and Alembic;

• Database expertise: PostgreSQL (indexes, transactions, RLS, partial indexes, plan optimization), TimescaleDB, ClickHouse;

• Experience in database query optimisation (EXPLAIN, keyset pagination, batching);

• API design skills: versioning, security (request signature, JWT, API keys);

• Strong background in Docker and local environments;

• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS (SQS, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Secrets Manager, EC2, S3, boto3);

• Experience with mentoring, code review, documentation, and architectural design;

• Understanding of observability: logs, traces, metrics;

• PCI DSS/ISO 27001 awareness will be a plus;

• Experience in Fintech domain will be a plus;

• English: upper-intermediate or higher.
