Data Analyst [Collection Risk]

Relocation support to Mexico.

The Collections department is key to recovering overdue loans, safeguarding the bank’s financial health, and improving cash flow. It reduces non-performing assets (NPAs), supports risk management and compliance, and ensures proper repayment processes. Additionally, Collections helps maintain strong customer relationships through tailored repayment plans and protects the bank’s reputation.

Challenges that await you:

1. Analyze the effectiveness of current collection strategies and suggest improvements
2. Develop and test new strategies to increase recoveries at various collection stages
3. Work with data, build reports and dashboards, and visualize results
4. Assess the impact of process changes on key collection metrics
5. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams
6. Identify anomalies and the reasons for key metric volatility

What makes you a great fit:

1. Up to 2 years of experience in data analytics
2. Strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate and test hypotheses
3. Understanding of basic machine learning concepts
4. Strong knowledge of mathematical statistics and probability
5. Experience with databases and strong knowledge of SQL (including writing complex queries)
6. Experience in building data marts
7. B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team

Your bonus skills:

1. Mathematical or technical education from the following universities: Moscow State University (MSU), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), Higher School of Economics (HSE), National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), Moscow State Technical University
2. Some experience in risk analysis and an understanding of basic risk metrics, such as vintage analysis, roll rates, and portfolio risk metrics
3. Experience in developing risk models would be a strong advantage
4. Experience with one of the analytical scripting languages (Python / R)
5. Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is welcome
